Volvo Group appoints the first Thai executive to be MD
Volvo Group (Thailand) Company Limited, the sole distributor of Volvo Trucks and UD Trucks in Thailand, has appointed Mr. Kamlarp Sirikittiwatn as the company’s Managing Director effective 11 April 2016.
Mr. Kamlarp will be the first Thai executive to be promoted as the top management since it has been established over 25 years in Thailand. He will be based in Bangkok and report to Mr.Jacques Michel, SVP Asia Oceania Sales. In this role, Mr. Kamlarp will be responsible for leading and driving Hub Thailand’s business strategy and operations which currently Volvo Trucks has 80% market share in European trucks market in Thailand.
Mr. Kamlarp is currently Vice President Sales & Retail in Hub Thailand, where he has achieved significant success through his team in the Thailand retail network, including sales and services. A true Volvo success story in talent development, he started his career with Volvo Thailand as sales engineer in 1999, extending his career to fleet sales and then General Manager – Commercial Vehicle for Thailand from 2008.
Since 2011, he has been Vice President Vehicle Sales and Marketing for AOS Region China based in Beijing. He has achieved stellar results in every role he has assumed in Volvo.
With his strong leadership skill, agility and drive for results and growth, we are confident he will take over the reins of leadership for Hub Thailand and drive the business to even greater heights of success.
Mr. Kamlarp graduated bachelor degree from Mechanical Engineering in Automotive Faculty of Chulalongkorn University in 1999 and master of Engineering Management from University of Technology Sydney in 2003.
