True Group’s Innovators Receive Four Innovation Awards from iCAN 2018 Competition in Both Innovative Organization and Inventive Work Categories
True Corporation Plc, led by Dr. Teerapon Tanomsakyut (middle), Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer, together with innovators’ team from True Innovation shared their pride on the occasion that True Group has been recognized continuously for its innovation excellence on international stages. True Group received four awards from the International Invention & Innovation in Canada 2018 (iCAN 2018) in Toronto, Canada. The event was organized by Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS). Over 400 innovations from 42 countries worldwide were submitted for the competition.
For this competition, True Group was considered an organization with distinctive innovations and, therefore, granted the “Special Innovator Award”. In addition, True Group won three more awards for three innovations, which were initiated to develop quality of life of people in the society. Chuay Plook Application, winning a gold medal, provides useful information for farmers so they can manage their cultivations effectively.
Moreover, True Group received two silver medals from 2 innovations comprising:
1. Smart Adventure – a warning system of smart camera detecting movement of wild elephants, which normally live around forest borders and frequently invade farming areas.
2. Smart Job – a platform guiding high school students in finding their right careers as well as helping them to plan their studies relevantly with their dream jobs.
The awards emphasize on True Group’s potential and intention to create innovations that continuously provide values to the society. Moreover, this brings pride and recognition to Thailand in the international level as well as creates an invention model for the society and environment for many countries around the globe.
