Ratchaprasong Cultural Center Event “One Light One Love”.
Making merit and receiving blessings on sacred Visakha Bucha Day.

Ratchaprasong Cultural Centre, the Museum of Cultures in Bangkok, located at the 3rd floor of Amarin Plaza, invites all Buddhists welcomes everyone who would like to participate in the ceremony of paying respect to the Buddha images and a candlelight procession around the Phutthachinnarat Buddha image on Visakha Bucha Day, this coming 20th May. With the offering of candles, we wish for good fortune on Visakha Bucha Day, the anniversary commemorating the three important events in the life of the Buddha: his birth, enlightenment and death. On thousand free 1,000 prayer candlesticks will be distributed to attendees. Prayers will be made to overcome obstacles for success and a prosperous life and career. In addition, those who purchase an offerings set from just THB 60 up will have a chance to win a sacred object that promotes prosperity and fortune. Entrance is free of charge and Thais, foreign residents and tourists are welcome. The event will be held from 16th to 25th May and is open daily, 10:00 – 19:00 hrs.

Ratchaprasong Cultural Centre (RCC), or the Museum of Asian Cultures, with the cooperation of Amarin Plaza shopping center, Kraft Space Co. Ltd., and the Buddha Dharma Relics Museum have set aside an area of over 500 square meters, on the 3rd floor of Amarin Plaza, as a gathering place for religious art, as well as Buddha images and relics of the Buddha and those of various Buddhist sects. This is a reflection of the spirit and forms and worship sacred to the people in ten Asian countries, including India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Burma, Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
