Radisson Blu Plaza Celebrates Earth Day 2017 With Green Giveaway

Global Initiative in Bangkok: Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok joined companies, organizations and volunteers around the world in observing Earth Day. Since 1970 this special day is celebrated yearly to raise awareness of topics related to climate change, global warming and sustainable living. To support this worldwide initiative in 2017, the Radisson Blu Plaza decided to give every guest a free plant they could take back home and plant in their backyard or grow in a flowerpot. This year a total of 350 free plants were handed out, up from 300 last year. By engaging their guests in this serious topic in a fun and friendly way, the Radisson Blu Plaza promoted the worthy cause of Earth Day and shared in their mission of planting 7,8 billion new trees by the year 2020.
“We are proud to be participating in Earth Day once again. It’s a great movement we are happy to support and promote among our guests and business partners. We at Radisson Blu Plaza believe that everybody can make a valuable contribution, and by giving out these free plants, we hope to encourage people to start making a difference, because every tree counts,” says Radisson Blu Plaza General Manager Peter Feran.
