LINE has supported Google Assistant since March 17, 2020, allowing LINE’s Android users to send LINE messages to friends and read incoming messages using Google Assistant. (https://linecorp.com/en/pr/news/en/2020/3131)

Starting today, Google Assistant also lets users easily share with friends screenshots and URLs on LINE and send LINE messages using just your voice. In addition, a “reply” and “photo and video share” features have been added to LINE on Pixel4 TM and Pixel 4a TM devices that support the new Google Assistant. The “reply” feature can be used in both 1:1 and group chats. LINE currently supports Google Assistant in English and Japanese.
*These new services are available starting today on Android devices with OS 6.0 or higher and LINE app ver. 10.12.0 or higher.

■ Share feature: Share screenshots, URLs and YouTube videos (AndroidTM smartphones with OS 6.0 or higher)
To share a screenshot, open the screen you want to share and say, “Hey Google, share the screenshot with 〇〇 using LINE.” To do the same with an URL or a YouTube video, open the page you want to share and say, “Hey Google, share this with 〇〇 using LINE.”

■ Share feature: Share photos and videos (Pixel 4 and Pixel 4a devices that support the new Google Assistant)
To share photos or videos, display the photo or video you want to share with Photo App or YouTube and say, “Hey Google, share this with 〇〇 using LINE.”

By simply saying ”Hey Google,” users can enjoy a more convenient way of using LINE hands-free on their smartphones, while driving, cooking, babysitting and doing other activities. LINE plans to add more features in the future.
