PATTAYA, Thailand – 16 May 2016 – Holiday Inn Pattaya celebrates the success of IHG Academy programs with over 10 IHG Academy participants in Thailand to giving the students the opportunity to develop skills to work in the hospitality industry.

IHG Academy had launched in China in 2006, the collaboration in the hospitality industry, between IHG properties, local education providers, and community organizations that gives participants real-world experience working in the hospitality industry and allows IHG the opportunity to develop talented people to work in its hotels. The program has continued to grow year-on-year and now spans almost 60 countries worldwide.

Since 2013, Holiday Inn Pattaya has worked with almost 13 IHG Academy participants the opportunity to develop their skills needed to work in the hospitality industry.

Kate Gerits, Area General Manager – Holiday Inn Express, Bangkok and General Manager, Holiday Inn Pattaya, said:
“This is the great opportunity for both our hotel and participants. Our program gives participants the invaluable experience of working in a hotel and we get a chance to improve capabilities, create job opportunities and build a sustainable community where the hotel is located.”
