Dusit Thani Pattaya marking Prince Abhakara’s Day

Pattaya, Thailand – May 2018 – Mr. Neoh Kean Boon, General Manager of Dusit Thani Pattaya, led the staff and management in marking of “Prince Abhakara’s Day” or “Wan Ar-pa-korn Day” on 19th May; the memorial day of the passing of H.R.H. Admiral Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak also known as Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse. Hotel team began the commemoration by making merit to the spirit houses in the hotel premises before gathering at Admiral Prince Abhakara statue where remembrance wreaths from all departments were placed to honor him and his tremendous contribution to Thailand; especially to the Royal Thai Navy of which he was proclaimed “The Father of Royal Thai Navy”. Prince Abhakara is highly regarded as the hotel’s patron protector and guardian and the memorial is held annually.
