Thailand’s Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has collaborated with several other Government Departments to create The Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) certification. Awarded to tourism-related locations demonstrating commitment to the highest standards of sanitation, hygiene and safety, its aim is to help ensure that both Thai and foreign tourists can have complete confidence when on vacation in the country.
On 23rd Jun 2020, Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort was asked to host TAT Krabi’s SHA awards ceremony, attended by numerous tourist-related businesses in the region. The awards were presented by Krabi Governor, Pol Lt-Colonel ML Kitibodhi Prawit, including to Khun Urs Leinhard, Regional General Manager, with Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort having passed TAT standards on Safety and Health Administration.
A delighted Urs Leinhard, said: “We are really looking forward to re-opening our resort in the near future, and this accreditation recognizes the hard work and commitment shown by all the staff here. We were honored to host this occasion and it was particularly encouraging to see so many other local businesses working hard to achieve the certification, as we all strive to ensure visitors to Krabi province can do so in safety and comfort”.
