Hotel’s 48th anniversary celebrations continue with special event dedicated to its late ’70s nightclub, Bubbles.
Dusit Thani Bangkok is rolling back the years with a disco event dedicated to its first ever pub and discotheque, Bubbles, which opened in 1977 inspired by smash hit movie Saturday Night Fever and western disco culture.
Held on Friday 31 March from 20:00 hrs onwards at the hotel’s My Bar, Return to Bubbles will see former Bubbles DJ Paul Jackson dig deep into his record collection to spin 70’s and 80’s disco classics for an evening full of dance floor filling fun.
Former members and clients of Bubbles are encouraged to bring photographs of the venue as it was in the 70’s and 80’s. Everyone who turns up with such images will be entered into a lucky draw to win a bottle of Champagne. They can also opt to display their images in a gallery at My Bar’s entrance.
Return to Bubbles is being arranged as part of Dusit Thani Bangkok’s 48th anniversary celebrations, which also includes a series of special promotions on accommodation, events, and dining at the hotel.
