H.M. The King’s Award Ceremony SCG Bangkok Business Challenge @ Sasin 2019

His Excellency Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk presided over the ceremony to present the prestigious H.M. The King’s Award, graciously bestowed by His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangku, to the winner of the SCG Bangkok Business Challenge @ Sasin 2019. The BetterLife Monitor team from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University won H.M. The King’s Award and received US$20,000 in cash prizes. BetterLife Monitor is a non-invasive device that continuously monitors blood glucose levels to help diabetes sufferers. It is cost-effective and environmentally sustainable medical technology that provides a pain-free solution. Amplify Infra, from the Indian School of Business, India, won the H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Sustainability Award and US$60,000. The team offers an IOT B2B marketplace for solar roof-top and EV charging stations that creates a network of installers, and financial, manufacturing and maintenance partners onto a single platform.

Sasin School of Management and SCG co-hosted the SCG Bangkok Business Challenge @ Sasin 2019 with the generous support of the competition’s sponsors: BCH Ventures (under Benchachinda Holding Group), Kasikornbank, Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group, VICTOR, and Coca-Cola Thailand. The competition, Asia’s only global postgraduate startup competition, received 71 applications from 40 institutions from around the world with the semi-finalists gathering at Sasin School of Management for the event.
