Pattaya, Thailand – 16 January 2019 – As an eco-friendly hotel, Dusit Thani Pattaya organises special activities to support the restoration of North-Pattaya beach and the surrounding areas of the hotel’s public beachfront to ensure and maintain the good environment, which assists in drawing back tourists to this world-class beach destination of Pattaya City.
With its continued efforts to raise awareness around coastal environment issues, Dusit Thani Pattaya started the 2019 activities by organising a “Beach Cleaning Activity” as a show of commitment to the resort’s community relations programme’s “Green Hotel” project and the hotel’s objective in moving towards ISO14001. Led by General Manager Neoh Kean Boon, the hotel’s staff and management team joined together in the task of cleaning up the hotel’s beachfront. The team worked hard while still managing to have some fun. Arming themselves with giant garbage bags, they collected plastic bottles, cigarette butts and various other items of rubbish along the coast. Once they had finished collecting, the waste was separated and the authorised waste management division of Pattaya Municipal collected it for transportation to the appropriate waste disposal point.
