Most notably celebrated throughout China, Vietnam and other parts of Asia, the Mid-Autumn Festival (or ‘Moon Festival’) marks the harvest season for many ethnic groups throughout the region.
And while you can expect to see many traditional activities throughout the month leading up to the festival (the main day is September 24th), the main food item that is most closely associated with this fun and colorful celebration is, of course, the mooncake!
