“Effective Speed Management and Enforcement” Training

Police Colonel Kitti Ariyanon, Ph.D., Deputy Commander of Traffic Police Division, presented an opening remark at a speed enforcement training for 50 traffic police officers under the topic of “Effective Speed Management and Enforcement” during September 6-7, 2017 in Bangkok, with the support of the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS), Bangkok Traffic Police and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). Mr. Marcin Flieger (Colonel), GRSP Road Policing Manager served as a trainer of the program. The purpose of the training is to enhance understanding of speeding as a risk factor, share a methodology for speed control zones/area selections, strengthen speed enforcement techniques and tactics, demonstrate examples of international best practices and improve understanding of multi-institutional cooperation for effective speed enforcement.
