4th Anniversary Hotel Baraquda Pattaya MGallery by Sofitel Thursday 13th, September 2018

On Thursday, September 13th, Hotel Baraquda Pattaya MGallery by Sofitel celebrated the 4th anniversary of the hotel under the MGallery brand. Led by the owning company, Cluster General Manager and all head of departments, we proceeded to the spirit houses at 09.09 a.m. (an auspicious time to begin prayers according to Thai beliefs). A spirit house is a dedicated structure to honor the guardians of the land. We paid our respects to the land offered our prayers for the goodwill and success of the hotel, which was then followed by the lion status ceremony, where we prayed to the imperial guardian lion sculptures in front of the hotel to continue protecting and watching over us.

At 10.30 a.m. we moved to have the official Monk ceremony, which lasted about half an hour to 45 minutes. After the monks recited their chants for the peace and success of the hotel, we organized a special lunch for them with all our staff present in their midst too as we celebrated this special day with the traditional Thai customs. All in all, it was a good day to mark a new chapter as we embark on our 5th year of this amazing brand.
